Like others you will find solace on the shores of beautiful Lake Martin.  Conveniently situated in central Alabama, Lake Martin is one of the most famous lakes in the United States.  This massive body of fresh water covers more than 44,000 acres with more than 750 miles of shoreline.

Lake martin was formed in 1923 with the completion of Martin Dam on the Tallapoosa River.  At the time, the lake was the largest man-made lake in the world.  Today it is one of the largest and most breathtaking lakes in the United States and serves as a recreational refuge for the thousands who retreat here every year for swimming, boating, fishing, water sports golfing and camping.
